Who you are buying from

LumberJake Woodworks, LLC, of Lima, OH, runs this website. When you place an order or book a rental, you agree to these terms.

Prices and availability

Prices are in US dollars, and sales tax is added where the law requires it. Prices and availability can change without notice. If we can't fill an order, or a price was listed in error, we'll tell you and refund what you paid.

Handmade means variation

Every piece is made by hand from natural wood, so grain, color, and small marks will differ from the photos. That is the character of the wood, not a defect.

Made-to-order and custom pieces

Build times are estimates, and we'll tell you right away if one will run late. Once work on a made-to-order or custom item has started, it can't be canceled, because the wood has been cut for you.

Ordering and paying at pickup

An order or rental is a request until Jake confirms it and sets a pickup time. You pay cash or check at pickup, and an item is sold only once it is paid.

Pickup and delivery

Pickup is in Lima, OH, by appointment only. Report any damage within 48 hours, with photos.

Returns

You can return a ready-made item in its original condition within 14 days of pickup or delivery for a refund of the item price. Custom and made-to-order pieces are final sale, unless they arrive damaged or not as described.

Rentals

A rental's price, deposit, and dates are set when you book. Rented items must come back on the due date, in the condition they went out. We return the deposit after we check them, and we may keep part or all of it to cover damage, loss, or a late return.

Care

Oil cutting boards now and then, and never put them in the dishwasher. Keep furniture away from standing water and direct heat. Every piece comes with care instructions.

Our responsibility

As far as the law allows, our responsibility for any order or rental is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Law

The laws of the State of Ohio govern these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the last change. The terms in place when you ordered or booked apply to that order or booking.
